Went on assignment for LNP + LancasterOnline to an event hosted by East Fairview Church of the Brethren this week. The church hosted Modern Day Mountain Man, Billy Molls, who gave a presentation on his faith and big game hunting up in Alaska.
It was a full house with standing room only! Billy’s presentation was a little over an hour long and included some of his stories about leading hunts, meeting his wife, the birth of his daughter, and helping friends through tough life situations with the help of this faith.
There was a meet and greet before and after the event with different merch available, and setup in the sanctuary was a few animal mounts you could look at.
I shared it with a quick image of his book the other day, but I want to share it again…my favorite quote from the night was “Conventional wisdom will give you conventional results.” Our life these last two years has been anything but conventional. And our “unconventional” results have been well worth the “jump” we took!
