On assignment for LNP again! Not exactly caught up on blogging what I’ve been photographing lately, but this one needed a spot on the blog asap!
Way back in 2012, when we lived in Germany, I volunteered for an organization called OpLove. Through this organization, military families could book photography pre-deployment portrait session with their soldier OR coverage of their coming home ceremony at the end of their deployment. That is how I met Ann Marie. Ann Marie was the mom to 3 littles and her husband was headed home from his deployment. The ceremony wasn’t too far away, and I had the date open! So, off I went to photographer their homecoming ceremony.
The summer after their OpLove session, our family moved back to the states and landed in Texas. Yes, the army is a small world, but I don’t ever really think we’ll be stationed at the same spot again with people we’ve been stationed with before. In all of Aaron’s time in the military, I think it happened twice that I can remember. I’m sure he remembers more lol. ANYWAYS, fast forward to 2024 and we announce we’re on the move again. Lo and behold, guess who is going to be near us again?! Obviously Ann Marie and her family since that’s what I started the blog post off with lol.
THEN, the Garden Spot High School Graduation gets added to my calendar to cover for LNP. Lo and behold! Guess who’s kid goes to that exact school?! I know you can tell by now. lol Small freaking world!!!
